ECar / Innovan custom EV prototypeEnergyCS participated in the production of two prototypes, one of which was shown at EVS-20 in Long Beach, California. Battery system design, customization, and testing was performed at EnergyCS and COBASYS, LLC.. All vehicle wiring and controls, vehicle LCD panel and battery system status display, high voltage system design and vehicle integration were developed, installed and tested by EnergyCS. A flexible solar panel by United Solar is attached to the roof to provide climate control and additional system support. The vehicle is powered by 18 NiMH batteries produced by COBASYS, LLC., a joint venture of Energy Conversion Devices (ECD) and Chevron Technology Ventures, and a Solectria UMOC drive system. Mechanical design of the vehicle was developed at Design Concept Engineering, KG of Ploen, Germany. The vehicle is designed for inner city delivery and postal service applications with a top speed of 105kph and a range of 100+km. The low deck cargo area and wide cargo door is also convenient for use as a disabled persons shuttle. Project sponsor links: Investment Acquisitions Services
LSV-100 neighborhood electric vehicle (NEV) fast chargerEnergyCS developed the patented system used for this fully automated battery charger. The charger is able to determine the battery type it is connected to and automatically deliver the proper amount of charge. The system was developed under contract and is marketed and distributed by eTec. Ideal for retirement communities, shuttle services or other predicted use pattern EV or PHEV applications, the system operates from 208V or 240V.

2004-2006MY Plug in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) Toyota Prius with Valence Saphion battery packThe PHEV Toyota Prius was engineered and developed at EnergyCS with support from Valence Technologies. The vehicle shown was displayed at EVS-21 in Monaco, France, and won 1st Prize for Technological Innovation and 1st Prize for HEV mileage at Tour del Sol 2005 in New England. The vehicle is designed to achieve 100+mpg under normal driving conditions for the first 50-60 miles of a users daily commute. EnergyCS developed all hardware and software necessary for a seamless system integration of the new Saphion Li-Ion battery system. Plug in kits using patent pending technologies licensed from EnergyCS. EnergyCS has developed a complete line of Lithium battery monitoring hardware and software for large format applications.
