Automotive Embedded C language Software Engineer

We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated Embedded Software Engineer to help build the next generation of high-energy automotive battery systems.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or software engineering from a top institution and have 3-5 years of experience with embedded software systems, preferably in an automotive environment.

The candidate should be an expert in the C language on embedded platforms, preferably Freescale 9S08/9S12, and be familiar with automotive software requirements such as MISRA. Experience with safety-critical and real-time systems is an important asset.

The candidate will participate in all phases of software projects including requirements definition, design, implementation and quality control.
Experience with automotive control and communications technologies (CAN, OBD diagnostics, etc.) is highly desirable.

The candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment which is rapidly expanding and offers new challenges every day. Ability to take ownership and work independently are extremely valuable in this challenging but exciting role.
Required skills:
- Embedded software development in C on Freescale 9S08/9S12 platforms
- Software design, requirements definition and quality control experience
- Familiarity with automotive software requirements and best practices
